Green Schools

What is Green –Schools?

  • A programme that raises awareness about the environment.
  • Educates teenagers about how our actions can affect the world we live in
  • Schools focus on one theme in order to gain a Green Flag every two years

In St. Aidan’s we have achieved three Green Flags for the following: Recycling, Energy and Water.

In May 2016, St. Aidan’s won the Green Schools Irish Water Award for the Leinster Region.

If you fancy taking part, please speak with Ms. McVicker or check the notice board for the date of our next meeting.

It doesn’t matter if it’s bottles or tins in St. Aidan’s CS, we use Green Bins. When not in use we turn out the lights, because saving energy is just right. Water, water all around, save every drop that can be found.
