3-Week All Tallaght Attendance Drive at St Aidan’s

20-November-25
3-Week All Tallaght Attendance Drive at St Aidan’s

St Aidan’s Community School is delighted to be taking part in the 3-Week All Tallaght Attendance Drive. Over the next three weeks, we will be encouraging excellent attendance, strong engagement in class and positive daily routines for all students.

Good attendance is one of the most important factors in student success, and we are looking forward to celebrating the effort and commitment shown by our school community.

What’s happening during the Attendance Drive?

Daily Draws
Each morning, students will be entered into daily draws for small prizes. Good attendance means more opportunities to win.

Talks and Workshops
Students will take part in short sessions with the School Completion Programme (SCP) and Home School Community Liaison (HSCL) on:

  • The importance of attending school regularly

  • How attendance supports learning, friendships and long-term success

Attendance Videos for First Years
First Year classes will watch short attendance-focused videos during Religion lessons to help build positive habits early in their school journey.

Classroom Activities
Teachers across all subjects will support the drive by encouraging:

  • Good attendance

  • Punctuality

  • Active participation in lessons

Spot Prizes
Throughout the three weeks, there will be surprise rewards for classes and students who show excellent effort or creativity in promoting good attendance.

Surprise Breakfasts and Early Lunch Treats
Each day, two classes will be selected for:

  • An early lunch

  • Breakfast or snack treats

Selected classes will be contacted on the day.

We will try to cater for dietary requirements where possible, but we cannot guarantee that all needs can be met.

Celebrating Success
We will be sharing photos of activities, prize winners and class celebrations to highlight the fantastic work happening in our school during the Attendance Drive.

Morning Activities
Students are encouraged to take part in morning attendance activities to help start each day in a positive way.

Attendance at Parent–Teacher Meetings
During Parent–Teacher Meetings, teachers will speak with families about:

  • Attendance in each subject

  • The impact of missed classes on learning

  • Ways to support good attendance at home

This is an All Tallaght community initiative, and we are proud to take part.

Thank you to all students, families and staff for supporting this important drive. Together, we can make every day count at St Aidan’s Community School.
